Meet the passionate educators behind Phoenix Arts! Our faculty is made up of experienced dancers, choreographers, educators, and mentors who share one common goal: helping every child discover their confidence through the performing arts. Whether your dancer is taking their very first class or training at an advanced level, our instructors provide expert guidance, encouragement, and a supportive atmosphere where every student feels seen, valued, and inspired to reach their full potential.
Owner
Miss Susie
Miss Susie is a proud alumna of the former LeRoux School of Dance and earned her B.A. in Dance Education and Dance Therapy from Cedar Crest College in 2002. During college, she performed with the dance company, choreographed and directed dance works, and gained experience in both performance and theater production.
Following graduation, she taught throughout the Lehigh Valley and Montgomery County, instructing students of all ages in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and modern dance. As Co-Director of the Xtensions Dance Company, her choreography earned numerous overall awards and choreography honors. She has also served as an Adjunct Dance Professor at Chestnut Hill College and Widener University and coached the Chestnut Hill College Dance Team.
In 2009, Miss Susie purchased LeRoux School of the Arts and, in 2018, rebranded it as Phoenix Arts. She is passionate about providing exceptional dance education while giving back to the community through outreach programs, scholarships, fundraising, and partnerships with local schools and organizations. Her mission is to inspire confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of the performing arts in every student.

Miss Becky
Miss Becky is the former Co-Owner of Phoenix Arts (2011–2017), where she taught classes and led the competition team to numerous overall and choreography awards. She currently serves as the Director of Fitness and Wellness at Meadowood Retirement Community, where she has helped develop an award-winning wellness program.
Miss Becky holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice from Chestnut Hill College and a master's degree in Social Work from Widener University. Combining her background in social work with her experience as a former professional cheerleader and collegiate volleyball player, she brings a therapeutic, encouraging approach to her hip hop classes.
Her high-energy teaching style, emphasis on confidence, body positivity, and emotional well-being creates an uplifting environment where every dancer feels successful. Her classes consistently sell out year after year, making her one of Phoenix Arts' most sought-after instructors.

Miss Hailey
Miss Hailey is excited to be part of the Phoenix Arts family and share her love of dance with every student who walks through our doors. Having trained for over 10 years and competed for six years, she has experience in a variety of styles including contemporary, jazz, lyrical, ballet, and pointe.
While Miss Hailey enjoys teaching dancers of all ages and ability levels, she has a special passion for contemporary dance, where she encourages students to express themselves through movement while building strong technique and artistry.
Her upbeat personality, positive energy, and genuine excitement in the classroom create an encouraging environment where every dancer feels valued and inspired. Miss Hailey's enthusiasm and dedication make her a wonderful role model and a perfect fit for the Phoenix Arts family.
Acro & Dance Instructor
Miss Avery
Miss Avery is excited to join the Phoenix Arts family and share her passion for dance with the next generation of performers. With 16 years of dance training, eight years of competitive experience, and several years of teaching throughout high school and college, she brings both knowledge and enthusiasm to every class.
Miss Avery believes dance is about more than learning steps—it's about building confidence, creating lasting friendships, and inspiring students to believe in themselves. Her positive energy and encouraging teaching style help dancers of all ages feel supported, challenged, and excited to learn.
She is dedicated to creating a welcoming environment where every student can grow as both a dancer and an individual, and she looks forward to helping each child discover their love for dance at Phoenix Arts.
Jazz/Tap Instructor
Mr Zach
Mr. Zach brings over 15 years of dance experience to Phoenix Arts and is known for his engaging teaching style, innovative choreography, and ability to inspire dancers of all ages. Specializing in contemporary, jazz, tap, and modern, he combines strong technical training with creativity and artistic expression, helping each student grow both as a dancer and performer.
Outside of the studio, Mr. Zach is a full-time educator, working with children of all ages and abilities. His experience in the classroom allows him to create a supportive, inclusive environment where every student feels encouraged, challenged, and successful. His patience, adaptability, and positive approach make him an exceptional teacher both in and out of the dance studio.
Throughout his career, Zach has performed professionally on theme park stages and competed at prestigious dance competitions, bringing valuable real-world experience into every class. His enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment to each dancer's growth help students build confidence, discover their unique artistry, and develop a lifelong love of dance.
Ballet Instructor
Miss Maureen
Miss Maureen has been inspiring dancers since 2012 as a teacher, choreographer, and creative storyteller. With a passion for using movement to tell meaningful stories, she believes dance is about more than technique—it's about connection, expression, and bringing ideas to life on stage.
After years of teaching and creating award-winning competitive choreography, she founded Turning Pages Dance Company, a pre-professional performance company dedicated to storytelling through dance. Under her direction, the company has performed at numerous festivals and showcases, including the prestigious Koresh Artist Showcase, and is a featured performer each year at Philly Dance Day.
Beyond the studio, Miss Maureen choreographs musicals for local schools and community theaters, dances with the Magnolia Sadies Vintage Dancers, and works as a designer and photographer. Her creativity, passion, and ability to help dancers connect emotionally to their movement make her an invaluable member of the Phoenix Arts family. She is excited to share her love of dance and storytelling with every student she teaches.
Ballet Instructor
Miss Ann
Miss Ann is a dance educator and certified personal trainer based in the Philadelphia area who has been dancing since the age of three. Originally from Arlington, Virginia, she developed a lifelong passion for dance that grew into a love for teaching, choreography, and performance.
Her extensive training includes studying at Temple University's Boyer College of Music and Dance as well as under the instruction of the Paul Taylor American Modern Dance Company. With a strong foundation in ballet, Miss Ann is dedicated to developing technically sound, confident dancers and helping each student reach their full potential. Her attention to proper technique, alignment, and artistry provides dancers with the tools they need to excel in every style of dance.
Throughout her career, Miss Ann has taught at Perfect Pointe Dance Studio, Rain Dance Studio, Philly Movements Dance Company, and Start a Movement Dance. Her supportive teaching style, combined with her expertise in dance and fitness, inspires students of all ages to grow both as dancers and as individuals.
Office Manager
Miss Krystin
Miss Krystin is a proud mom of three and a dedicated 5th grade teacher at St. Philip Neri School. She has been part of the Phoenix Arts family for many years, ever since her oldest daughter, Miss Harper, began dancing with us at just three years old. What started as a dance family quickly grew into a passion for serving our studio and the students who call Phoenix Arts home.
Outside of Phoenix Arts, Miss Krystin is heavily involved in the performing arts at St. Philip Neri, where she directs the school's musicals from start to finish. Her talents extend far beyond directing—she designs and builds sets, creates costumes, manages production details, and oversees the show's social media and promotions.
At Phoenix Arts, Miss Krystin wears many hats. As our Office Manager, she is often the friendly face and helping hand behind the scenes, ensuring our studio runs smoothly each and every day. From assisting families and supporting our staff to organizing studio operations, she helps create the welcoming and organized environment that Phoenix Arts is known for.
Meet Our Junior Instructors
Our Junior Instructors are dedicated student leaders who have demonstrated exceptional responsibility, leadership, and a passion for working with children. Under the guidance of our senior faculty, they are entrusted with teaching our youngest dancers together, creating fun, engaging classes while gaining valuable teaching experience. Their enthusiasm and positive energy make them wonderful role models and an important part of the Phoenix Arts family.
Junior Instructor
Miss Harper
Miss Harper has been dancing at Phoenix Arts since she was 3 years old. She is one of our advanced teen dancers and also assisting in the classroom. After several years being an assistant, she has become one of our junior instructors teaching alongside Miss Teagan. She can also be found competing with our competition team.
Miss Harper attends Mount St Joe's where she performs as a featured dancer in all of our school productions!
Junior Instructor
Miss Teagan
Miss Teagan is one of our advanced teen dancers. She has been a member of the Phoenix Arts family since she was 3 years old. After several years assisting the classroom, she has earned her way to being one of our junior instructors alongside Miss Harper. She is also a member of our competition team!
If she's not dancing, she is in chorus, band, robotics, and her musicals in her school at Norristown High School.
